The faculty of the school is strong, with a total of 127 staff members, including 43 professors with senior titles, 34 associate professors, 37 doctoral supervisors, and more than 70% of the teachers have overseas study or exchange experiences. The faculty is mainly composed of young and middle-aged backbone teachers, with a high level of talent and a rational knowledge structure. There are a number of outstanding and excellent experts and scholars, including members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Sciences for Developing World Countries, chief scientists of the National"973" Project, winners of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, winners of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund, outstanding young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions to the country, new century outstanding talents of the Ministry of Education, and winners of the Zhejiang Excellent Youth Fund. The school has two departments, the Department of Physics and the Department of Microelectronics Science and Engineering. The School has a comprehensive system of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoralo education, including a postdoctoral research station in physics, a doctoral degree program in physics, a master's degree program in physics, a professional master's degree program in integrated circuit engineering, a professional master's degree program in materials and chemical engineering, and a professional master's degree program in subject teaching (physics).

In the past five years, the faculty has led 223 vertical research projects with a total funding of82.03 million yuan and 42 horizontal projects with a total funding of 7.84 million yuan. Among these projects, theNational Natural Science Foundation of China accounts for 49. In the past five years, the school has received a funding rate of over 20% from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. We published over 800 SCl papers in five years, including more than 100 papers in top tier journals such as Nature/Science and Physical Review series.
